Load Balancing routers can perform load sharing of traffic among multiple broadband services on ADSL, and in the event your Internet connection drops or fails for any length of time, you still have a fail-over you can fall back on if you need built in redundancy.
The main benefit of Load Balanced Routers is the ability to shape traffic across different ADSL services so ensuring traffic is balanced correctly in-line with day to day traffic management requirements. Coupled with this is the addition of fail-over – should 1 service fail you have at least one other possibly four that can be rebalanced to take the weight of traffic while the other circuit is fixed.
