FibreOptic Broadband for business users allows you to obtain Super Fast Broadband (Fibre to the Cabinet – FTTC) services and enables up to 40mb down and 10mb up for business applications to run on more efficiently. Services like Remote Desktop, VPN and Hosted Cloud based network services will all benefit from this great advancement in Internet connectivity. Not yet available in every town and city but in enough to start making a difference, this service will revolutionise the way we do business and the applications and services we use on the Internet will expand incredibly.
Fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) Requires a fibre optic cable from the local telephone exchange to street cabinets. The last mile of hte connection remains in copper enabling the broadband to connect to your Fibre modem and Fibre Router. The last mile generally utilises VDSL or similar technology to deliver higher speeds than are usually enjoyed on a standard ADSL service.
Router Compatibilty
Very few routers are compatible with Fibre broadband and will need replacing.
